What a session might include
Depending on your goals and clinical appropriateness, a session may include walk-and-talk counseling, mindful attention, sensory grounding, reflection, journaling, or other nature-based activities.
Nature-informed therapy is one option within Alpengrow’s broader approach to individualized, whole-person psychotherapy. The foundation of care remains collaborative, session-based clinical therapy that may include practical, evidence-informed behavioral interventions to support symptom reduction and meaningful change. When it fits your goals, connection with the natural world can complement that work through reflection, grounding, perspective, and connection.

Nature is a partner—not a prescription. Outdoor experiences do not replace structured psychotherapy or clinically appropriate behavioral interventions. They may complement session-based work when they are accessible, clinically appropriate, and meaningful to you. Many sessions can take place indoors or virtually.
Outdoor sessions are optional and planned with weather, terrain, accessibility, privacy, and safety in mind. If conditions are unsuitable, an alternative setting or format can be discussed.
